He is mentioned by name in the Bible by the Apostle Paul in Philippians 4:3. St. Clement is also said to be one of the band of seventy followers of Jesus' ministry as described in the Gospels. Clement was a disciple of St. Peter and was ordained by him, and became the fourth Bishop of Rome. Of his life and death little is known, but he has left one definite writing: a letter to the Church in Corinth, Greece. The Basilica of St. Clement is one of the earliest parish churches of Rome and was built on the site of his home. Pope St. Clement I is the patron saint of mariners, sailors, marble-workers, stone-cutters, and sick children. His feast day is celebrated on November 23rd.

"In your vision, O king, you saw a statue,
very large and exceedingly bright,
terrifying in appearance as it stood before you.
The head of the statue was pure gold,
its chest and arms were silver,
its belly and thighs bronze, the legs iron,
its feet partly iron and partly tile.
While you looked at the statue,
a stone which was hewn from a mountain
without a hand being put to it,
struck its iron and tile feet, breaking them in pieces.
The iron, tile, bronze, silver, and gold all crumbled at once,
fine as the chaff on the threshing floor in summer,
and the wind blew them away without leaving a trace.
But the stone that struck the statue became a great mountain
and filled the whole earth.
"This was the dream;
the interpretation we shall also give in the king's presence.
You, O king, are the king of kings;
to you the God of heaven
has given dominion and strength, power and glory;
men, wild beasts, and birds of the air, wherever they may dwell,
he has handed over to you, making you ruler over them all;
you are the head of gold.
Another kingdom shall take your place, inferior to yours,
then a third kingdom, of bronze,
which shall rule over the whole earth.

The iron mixed with clay tile
means that they shall seal their alliances by intermarriage,

the God of heaven will set up a kingdom
that shall never be destroyed or delivered up to another people;
rather, it shall break in pieces all these kingdoms
and put an end to them, and it shall stand forever.
That is the meaning of the stone you saw hewn from the mountain

which broke in pieces the tile, iron, bronze, silver, and gold.
The great God has revealed to the king what shall be in the future;

"See that you not be deceived,
for many will come in my name, saying,

(Luke 21:11) People who speculate on when Jesus will return will often mention this passage. They'll remind us that our world has already seen nations warring against one another as well as great earthquakes and severe famines. They may also call attention to the "plagues" that are now on the rise. Should we conclude that these are sure signs that Jesus' return is just around the corner? The fact is, we really don't need to try to figure out when Jesus will come back. None of us know the answer—not even Jesus himself (Matthew 24:36)! It's enough for us to know that he will come again. Even if we don't live to see his Second Coming, we know that he will come for each one of us at the end of our lives. And that could happen any day. The important issue isn't when Jesus is coming back; it's what we are doing to be ready for it. Are you living as if he could return at any moment? If that question makes you uneasy, consider this: Jesus' return means that you will see him, your Savior, the one who rescued you from sin and death. You will behold the God who created you from nothing, who provided for all your needs, and who cares for you every second. You'll be before the one whose love for you is greater than you ever imagined while on earth. Think about these things, and your heart will be stirred with joy and eager expectation for that day. Remember how excited many of the early Christians were at the thought of Jesus' return. They couldn't wait to see him! They were freed from anxiety as they waited in joyful hope. As we share that kind of attitude, we will find it easier to live a life pleasing to the Lord. Love and gratitude—not fear—will motivate our expectancy and strengthen us in hope. So the next time you hear of earthquakes, famines, or plagues, remember Jesus' promises. Look to the one who loves you and is waiting for you, the one who is coming again to take you with him to his heavenly kingdom. Let him turn your unease into eagerness. "Lord Jesus, change my heart and make me ready to welcome you!" Daniel 2:31-45

God, Jesus, Is King of the Universe. All kings that shall enter our lives fall under His Kingdom. We are of HIS Kingship, we are called to live in His rule. Baptized souls, let us satisfy His desire. | We pray in Psalms:
"Angels of the Lord, bless the Lord, praise and exalt him above all forever. Give glory and eternal praise to him."
And we continue praying:
""You heavens, bless the Lord, praise and exalt him above all forever."
These here are the training grounds for Heaven. Learn to pray. Learn to worship. Learn to adore. For it is here that such things are of great worth in Heaven. It has always been that worship upon God's Holy Mountain was His delight. Now see Christ. Now see the offering. | We heard in the Gospel today:

Then they asked him, "Teacher, when will this happen?" | Wouldn't you like to know when the end of the world will come? There have been many false prophets. And more may come. But the worst false prophet? Yourself. For we are all baptized priest, prophet, and king. So what is the remedy? Do not be false! Be true. Our King is True and Truth, and we are made in His image for Himself. Our King continues:
"When you hear of wars and insurrections, do not be terrified; for such things must happen first, but it will not immediately be the end."
And indeed we have faced famines, insurrections that still go on daily, and wars, even world wars.
And yet, the world has not ended.
"and awesome sights and mighty signs will come from the sky." Have you looked up at the sky? Have you looked to see God's canvas? Daily we can see what He has written.
Have you witnessed anything awesome? If I look out, and see white clouds against a blue backdrop, what has the picture spoken to me? If I look at the stars at night, the piercing dark night, what have the lights to speak? These are prophetic messages. Yes. Christ speaks. Kingdoms have perished since His arrival...but not His. Billions have perished, but not His.
Practice then, to love Him and obey. Is it possible to be obedient first and then love?
Think of fixed marriages, arranged marriages. You don't hear of tremendous divorce rates among them. It has been biblical too. Obedience brings about Love. Love becomes servant. Love makes one docile and true love begins to take root. The world has taught us the opposite, and so you have millions of vagabonds searching for love and their soul mate, to no avail, because of the false prophets.
We have one soul mate my friend. Jesus.
He bonds Himself to us in the Sacraments. Discern the times we live in....for it is time for Him. Let's pray:
Lord, God, My Love,
All my solution is You.
I worry all day, and I turn away.
Help me look to Your beautiful and wonderful face and know that You are God, and that I can trust in You. What an amazing Love You Are! | from your brother in Christ,
